The mission of BRL Human Resources and Payroll Consulting is to make employee administration easy for small businesses and start-up companies, allowing entrepreneurs and owners to focus on operations and growth.
Our team is able to help with day-to-day human resources issues as well as more difficult situations, from recruiting assistance to employee separations and everything in between. We are a trusted advisor for disciplinary action, performance management, employee benefits, payroll, policy development, and navigating ever-changing government regulations.
My vision for starting BRL HR Consulting is based on my passionate belief that small businesses need access to professionals in Human Resources. Large businesses typically have full time HR on staff to focus on employee administration and consistent policy development. Small businesses and startup companies generally don’t have the time or money to have full time HR professionals on staff. We have developed the right processes, procedures and expertise to provide outsourcing & consulting services focused on small businesses and startup companies.

Founder & President
Brenda LaMarche, PHR, SHRM-CP is the President & Founder of BRL HR Consulting. She has worked as a Human Resources Generalist across companies of all types, sizes, including both single business units and multiple business units across the US since graduating with a BBA in Human Resources & Industrial Relations from the University of Iowa in 1990. Brenda is a committed volunteer with Rotary, a member of SHRM, Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce, Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance and is an expert speaker in the areas of Human Resources & Payroll. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading and traveling in her free time.
